Wolfiez is a pro-Fortnite player who started gaining popularity when he qualified for the first ever Fortnite World Championship Duos in 2019. However, his place among the elite prodigies was sealed when he and his partner, Cookie, places second at the event, thereby walking away with $1,2 million USD in the process. Since then, he has been home-schooled to allow him to focus on his grind and participation in various cash cups. As we know that his specs are important to you, we have written a brief overview of the peripherals that feature in Wolfiez’s gaming setup below.
WHAT MONITOR DOES WOLFIEZ USE?
Wolfiez uses an Alienware 25 AW2518H monitor. This is a gaming monitor that offers a refresh rate of 240Hz @ 1ms for a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It is also both NVIDIA G-Sync and NVIDIA 3D Vision compatible. All of these features require a compatible video card in order to operate optimally. Furthermore, it has a brightness of 400 cd/m2 and offers preset color options for different games. These can be adjusted through its software with the possibility to save up to three of them directly on the monitor itself.
Its stand also has a great deal of adjustability, including pivoting in both directions, tilting between -5° to 25°, swiveling between -20° to 20° and being height-adjustable between 0 – 13cm (5.13.) It can also be removed from the stand for VESA wall-mounting purposes. It also has a viewing angle of 170°/160°.
WHAT CONTROLLER DOES WOLFIEZ USE?
Wolfiez uses an Xbox One Elite V1 controller. Wolfiez uses a custom-skinned version of the Xbox One Elite Version 1 controller. He has stated that he prefers the V1 to the V2 as he feels that it is more durable than the later model. It is a wireless controller that that is compatible with Windows 10 as well as Xbox One and Xbox One S. The thumb sticks and D-pads can be swapped out with one of the other two sets that it comes with for maximum comfort.
It comes with a carrying case, a set of 4 paddles, a set of 6 thumb sticks, a set of 2 D-pads: faceted and standard, a USB cable, AA batteries and a quick set up guide and product manual. Its dimensions are 19.3 x 19.3 x 9.1cm (7.6 x 7.6 x 3.58”) and it weighs 348.1g (12.28oz.)
WHAT KEYBOARD DOES WOLFIEZ USE?
Wolfiez uses a Ducky One 2 Mini keyboard. Wolfiez gaming setup includes the Ducky One 2 Mini which is an ultra-compact 60% mechanical keyboard. It comes with either Cherry MX Blue, Silent Red or Brown switches, but he hasn’t specified which he opted for. It comes with a selection of preset pre-set RGB lighting options. Furthermore, most of the keys have double Fn-functions, and the ESC – F5 keys can be set with up to 6 macros.
The keyboard is constructed from dual-layer PCB plastic and set with 85% PBT double-shot seamless shine-through keycaps. Its base can also be adjusted into three placement angles. It also comes with a set of 10 additional PBT double – shot colorful FPS and MOBA keycaps. Its 1.27m (4.2ft) USB-C plastic cable is detachable.
WHAT HEADSET DOES WOLFIEZ USE?
Wolfiez uses an ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless headset. The Astro A50 are wireless gaming headsets for PCs that come with either PS4 & PS5 or Xbox One, X &S compatibility. Wolfie’s gaming setup includes the black version of the Xbox-compatible headset. They have 40mm drivers that provide a Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound effect with a 20- 20,000Hz frequency response range at a sensitivity of 118dB @1kHz.
It as a plastic construction with closed-backed, over-ear earcups that weighs 380g (0.83lbs.) Both the headband and earcups are padded, but the earcup padding is swappable. It also has a flip-to-mute unidirectional boom mic that is noise-cancelling. Additionally, it comes with a docking/charging station. It also features in TrainwrecksTV and TSM_Daequans’ setups.
WHAT MICROPHONE DOES WOLFIEZ USE?
Wolfiez uses a Rode NT-USB microphone. The Rode NT-USB is a plug-and-play condenser microphone tat is meant for voice recordings. Its 0.5” capsule produces a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz at a maximum SPL of 118dB and an SNR of 82dB. It comes with an external, detachable pop-filter that helps to prevent plosive noises from filtering into recordings, as well as a tripod desk stand, ring mount and storage bag. It is also compatible with most audio recording applications that are able to register external microphones.
WHAT MIXER DOES WOLFIEZ USE?
Wolfiez uses an Astro Gaming MixAmp Pro mixer. The MixAmp pro is a preamp that was designed as an optional addition to the Astro A40 TR headset, but it an also be purchased separately. It is specifically intended for use by content creators and pro-gamers, which is why one of the controls on the device itself is a Game: Voice Balance knob that allows the user to find their ideal balance between game and microphone outputs. It features Dolby audio Sound processing that enables lag- and interference-free delivery of game sound and voice communication to the user’s headset.
It also comes with ASTRO Command Center Software that allows the user to have extra control over their audio settings including mic level and input/output settings, as well as to create custom EQ profiles in addition to many other features. As with the headphones, there is one version that is compatible with an Xbox and another that is compatible with a PS4.
