The upcoming CDL Warzone Rebirth tournament has a mouthwatering $100K on the line, but Twitch streamers are disappointed that they won’t be able to compete because the rules state that it’s a YouTube-only streaming tournament.

Tournaments for Call of Duty: Warzone are a great way to draw attention to the game and provide players with a strong incentive to play it. Tournaments are usually held on the game’s main battle royale maps, which have previously been Verdansk and are now Caldera.

Season 2 Reloaded has updated Rebirth Island, making a few changes and giving it its biggest update in a long time. As a result, the new CDL $100K Resurgence tournament will be held at Alcatraz’s home to provide some variety.

If you’re a Twitch partner hoping to participate in this lucrative event, we’re afraid we have some bad news. The allure of this event is that other teams will be able to compete and qualify for a spot in the final brackets, rather than just CDL teams.

This makes it very accessible to all Warzone players who sign up and want a shot at competing against the best. It’s just that it’s not as inclusive as it appears.

The lack of many top Twitch streamers has a slight upside in that it should free up some space for others trying to grow their YouTube channel.

It should be noted, however, that while Twitch streamers are welcome to participate, they will jeopardize their Twitch partnership. Given the circumstances, it’s highly unlikely that anyone with a Twitch contract will be involved.
