On Saturday, the final international LAN of VALORANT‘s Champions tour, VALORANT Champions: Berlin, surpassed 1 million peak viewers. Since the Group Stages began on Dec. 1, 2021, this is the tournament’s highest concurrent viewership.

The match between KRÜ Esports and Gambit Esports drew over 1 million viewers online, making VALORANT’s biggest tournament even bigger. This does not include the live viewers in Argentina who were cheering on KRÜ Esports. The game was one of, if not the best, of the tournament thus far, as both teams were able to demonstrate their strengths. According to Esports Charts, the match that held the record prior to KRÜ Esports vs Gambit Esports also featured KRÜ Esports, as they defeated Sentinels, the North American favorites.

In front of 836 991 viewers, KRÜ Esports defeated Sentinels, and now Gambit Esports has done the same in front of 1 052 123 viewers.

Every co-streamer that Riot Games decided to partner with prior to the event is included in the number provided by Esports Charts. The co-stream of Ibai “Ibai” Llanos Garatea drew more viewers than the official VALORANT Twitch stream, with a peak of 219,506 viewers.

In two categories, viewership and match length, the match between KRÜ Esports and Gambit Esports set records. Twitch’s VALORANT category surpassed a million viewers. The last time this happened was in the grand final of the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters 2: Reykjavik on May 30, 2021. The only other time the category had surpassed a million viewers was prior to the game’s release.
