Twitch streamer TheBlackHokage whose real name is Corey Smallwood has recently been targeted by a racist hate raid but the streamer seems to have a perfect way to respond to them.
Twitch’s Terms of Service condemn any “hateful conduct,” which specifies any activity that includes discrimination based on ‘race, ethnicity, and color.’ Unfortunately, bigots and follow bots are nothing new to the Twitch world and an unknown entity is creating numerous free accounts to harass Black streamers with racist chat spam.
Streamers on the platform have been dealing with the ‘hate raids’ for some time now. Many of them have been calling out on twitch to take further action to stop this but it is still happening over again.
During a recent stream, twitch streamer TheBlackHokage has been hit with the ‘hate raids’ but it seems like he was ready and had a plan to deal with just this type of incident. While streaming, Hokage notices that he has suddenly been raided by the racist bots but he was obviously ready and waiting for this exact thing to happen, and sprung into action.
He stated; “Let’s go yo, I’ve been waiting for this s**t, holy s**t, finally. I see y’all been raiding all the black streamers, and I was waiting for you guys to get to me.” Hokage has shared to his viewers his way to stop them as he shows that he put his chat “Subscribers-only” mode and in that instant, every racist bot has banished.
Hokage stated; “Problem solved. Now they have to pay me to type that in the chat.” Then he further mocks the trolls who tried to throw him off. Twitch streamer TheBlackHokage has posted the clip of the stream on Twitter sarcastically captioning; “Today I was hit with a hate raid on Twitch by basement-dwelling musty racist neckbeards. It took all my strength to fight back my tears & not break down in the stream.”
