Sega has paid world-renowned EDM artist, DJ, and producer Steve Aoki a large sum of money to pretend to like Sonic the Hedgehog. The DJ’s music can be found in a variety of games, including Madden NFL 18, Far Cry New Dawn, Riders Republic, and Zumba Burn It Up! However, he has never appeared in a Sonic game.
He’s also a part-owner of Rogue Esports, a team that competes in Rainbow Six Siege and League of Legends, but not Sonic.
Never mind; Steve is here to tell you how awesome Sonic is, as he will be performing in a virtual concert on November 30th, which also happens to be Aoki’s birthday. A behind-the-scenes video of the concert being pre-recorded can be seen below.
On November 30, 2021, at 8 p.m. GMT, fans can watch the virtual concert on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube and Twitch channels.
Idris Elba revealed that he will play the Knuckles the Echidna in the upcoming ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film’. With a quick message and photo posted on Twitter, the renowned actor confirmed the role. On April 8th,next year in 2022, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released in theaters.
This casting announcement was far more thought-provoking than the film’s title announcement earlier this year, which was “extremely obvious.” With a logo reveal that features two tails on the number 2, the movie Twitter account confirmed in February that the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film will indeed be called Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The two-tailed fox known as Tails to fans of the franchise is clearly referenced in the logo, but that was obvious to anyone who saw the original film and stayed for the teaser post-credits scene, which featured, well, Tails!
