Players in Apex Legends recently claimed that the game’s footstep audio makes it difficult to decipher enemy movements in the newly released Season 11, and they ask and demand the developers to fix it.

Season 11 of Apex Legends brought a slew of new features, including buffs and nerfs, a brand-new Legend named Ash, and the tropical Storm Point map, complete with its own wildlife. However, several players have complained that the audio for enemy footsteps in Season 11 is extremely inconsistent, making it difficult to decipher enemy movements even when they are sprinting towards you.

In the Apex Legends subreddit, Reddit user ‘Erydrim’ posted a video demonstrating the said issue saying that it depicts the player not receiving any audio cues that an opponent was approaching until it was too late.

The on-the-run enemy was able to sneak up on the Redditor and kill them. Erydrim then asked if anyone also noticed the increase in the footstep audio bug, and many players commented on the same issue.

This season, I’ve had so many people run up on me and other members of my squad with no audio. I’ve also noticed that vertical audio is particularly bad this season. People will be below and will be able to hear me.
