OnlyFans, the online subscription platform known for adult content, has recently announced that they will prohibit users from posting any material containing sexually explicit content prompting some internet personalities including twitch streamers to react.
According to the company, starting in October, the company will prohibit creators from posting material with sexually explicit conduct on its website, which many sex workers use to sell fans explicit content. They’ll still be allowed to put up nude photos and videos, provided they’re consistent with OnlyFans’ policy.
The popular paid content website OnlyFans features numerous Twitch streamers including Amouranth, Indiefoxx, Alinity, xoAeriel and more. Because of the recent announcement, these streamers together with other internet personalities who use the service have reacted.
Some of them have begun advertising on their other channels in preparation for the ban on sexual content. Twitch streamer xoAeriel posted a tweet stating; When OnlyFans fails you, I have Fansly. Follow my fun stuff.” Also, one of the most popular hot tub streamers Amouranth has also shared her thoughts, noting how she plans to analyze the situation. However, she happily noted that because nudity will be allowed, her fans should remain pleased.
Others are mocking the decision with Twitch streamer Susu joked on her twitter post stating; “Onlyfans banning porn and expecting to still make money is the funniest shit I’ve ever seen.” World of Warcraft streamer Asmongold also weighed in and shared a similar sentiment stating; “Onlyfans bans sexual content, RIP LMAO,” he joked. “What’s next? Is KFC going to ban chicken?”
