A terrifying incident where a fan drove 700 miles to her house and set fire to her car while she was on vacation was revealed by a Twitch streamer.
Streamers and content creators have had more spooky interactions with viewers and devoted fans in recent years. Both Amouranth and Pokimane have employed security personnel when attending conventions, with the former needing them since stalkers pursued her. Amouranth is one streamer who has experienced problems with fans visiting their homes and hometowns. Some people who discovered the addresses of streamers broke into the houses. But xQc was in a different place when it happened to him.
Even though a Twitch broadcaster named justfoxii was out of town when a fan drove 700 miles to her house, the incident was extremely worrying because the “fan” set fire to her car. The streamer, who took a little break from routinely streaming, revealed that while she was recently on vacation, a man showed up at her residence early in the morning presumably looking for her. “My mom called me and woke me up. She was crying and I knew something really bad had happened. She said ‘someone caught your car on fire, I’m sorry, I have to go the police are here’,” she said.
Justfoxii had to look to her security cameras while she was away from home to check what was going on. She examined it and saw the damage that had been done as well as the man’s carefree attitude. “The firefighters came very quickly, I’m thankful for that, because the fire spread to the fence and burnt the side of my house as well, which my mom and animals were inside of,” the streamer added. “We’re all tramuatized in ways that I will never be able to describe but I’m just glad everybody is safe. I just never thought that when I started streaming that something like this would ever happen to me.”
She mentioned that the police had detained the man in question and were handling the problem. Justfoxii said that although she would like to return to streaming, she truly can’t until everything is resolved.
