A Kick streamer noted how long it would take him to make the same amount of money on Twitch while revealing the “life-changing” amount of money he’s already earned since switching.

Several livestreaming services have questioned Twitch’s hegemony as the largest website in recent years. However, some platforms, like YouTube, have outlasted others like Mixer and have truly put up a respectable fight even though they haven’t made many headway. While Twitch continues to be the most popular platform, it is now being challenged by the new, Stake-backed network of Kick because many streamers have already switched over. Even some creators who have “non-exclusive” agreements split their time between the two. Kick gives streamers a much larger share of sub income; on Kick, they receive 95% as opposed to only 50% on Twitch.

Ac7ionMann, a former Twitch streamer, emphasized the stark difference by disclosing the “life-changing” sum of money he had earned on Kick during his time there. He praised @Trainwreckstv and @KickStreaming, displaying his payment of $38,000 from Kick, saying, “Shout out  @Trainwreckstv and @KickStreaming for making the payments process smooth. You would need 16k subs on Twitch for this. This is around 7k subs on Kick.”

The streamer continued, “This is literally life-changing,” urging others to follow him in making the switch in platforms as well. Many commenters congratulated the streamer on his success, but a few questioned whether he didn’t have a lead start because he had 700,000 or so Twitch followers before. The discoverability for new streamers – especially through Clips – is something Trainwreck has bigged up as another advantage over Twitch.
