Pokimane and xQc‘s podcast finally had its first episode yesterday, after a three-week wait. The five-hour broadcast featured the two streamers discussing a variety of topics, including VALORANT, a game they both play on occasion.

xQc and Pokimane are both Twitch streamers which is why the topic of content was naturally brought up, and the two appeared to agree that the game is “killing” its own content on Amazon’s platform.

When some podcast listeners expressed their belief that VALORANT would be the next big thing on Twitch, the conversation shifted to the game.

Pokimane and xQc disagreed with the viewers, believing that the number of professional tournaments broadcast on Twitch could jeopardize the game’s future on the platform.

XQc agreed with Pokimane and pointed out VALORANT’s and CS: GO‘s similarities. Twitch would stream multiple tournaments every day, in addition to reruns of previous matches, according to the Twitch star, making it difficult for viewers to find the streams they were looking for.

The two Twitch personalities wrapped up their VALORANT discussion by expressing their dissatisfaction with Watch Parties for the game’s professional tournaments, believing that they reduce viewer-streamer interaction.
