Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng, a Twitch streamer and former League of Legends pro player, reacted to TSM’s LCS roster changes and explained why he believes the organization “no longer cares.”
When it comes to publicly criticizing his former employer TSM, Doublelift has never held back.
He’s called the team “disgusting” and chastised owner Reginald for how he treated LCS players during his time there. The 28-year-old was a player for the organization for about five years before becoming a sponsored streamer.
Doublelift has now chastised the team once more for their LCS roster management.
TSM announced on April 29 that support Choi ‘Mia’ Sang-in would be joining them from the LLA to replace Wei ‘Shenyi’ Zi-Jie in their starting lineup.
Doublelift claimed that the move was beneficial to the team, but that former TSM support Shenyi was “screwed” by the deal. With the cash injection from the FTX sponsorship, a Twitch chatter asked how they aren’t aiming for a top-two finish.
In Spring 2022, TSM missed the LCS playoffs for the first time in the team’s history, resulting in the firing of head coach Peter Zhang for “serious allegations of conflict of interest.”
If Doublelift has any reliable inside sources for how the club’s summer off-season will go, many big names could be on their way out.
