PlayStation recently cancelled its planned limited-edition McDonald’s themed DualSense PS5 controller and it’s probably for the best.
The controller with the design of McDonald’s is a part of a wider celebration of the company’s first restaurant opening 50 years ago in Australia. The fast food giant planned to work with Twitch streamers and give away a limited run of controllers during the first week of August.

The said company will still push forward with the celebration by offering 50 hoodies and 50 channel subscriptions for Twitch streamers to give and handout to their viewers. The celebration was intended to start this week but postponed.
The controller was confirmed by ‘Press Play’ that it would no longer be a prize with an official statement from McDonald’s saying that Sony PlayStation has not authorized use of its controller in any promotional materials related to the proposed stream week events and that they apologized for any inconvenience caused.
Three DualSense PS5 controller designs are currently available, the standard white and black, all black, and cosmic red.The PS5 console is only available in white and black though some third-party wraps are already allowing players to change console colours.
