Lannan Neville Eacott, better known by his online alias LazarBeam has recently opened up about the challenges and his struggles of being a content creator on Youtube.
LazarBeam is a popular Australian YouTuber, professional gamer and Internet personality, known primarily for his video game commentaries videos, “comedic riffs” and memes currently gaining more than 19 million subscribers on his channel.
He has gained success during the peak of Fortnite’s success together with other biggest streamers nowadays such as Ninja. Just like Ninja and other big Fortnite content creators, LazarBeam has also received a Fortnite icon skin.
After appearing in the new Ryan Reynolds movie titled Free Guy along with Pokimane, Ninja, and more, LazarBeam went on to open up about the challenges of being a content creator on YouTube in the recent interview with Polygon. He explained that people have the misconception that you can wake up, do ten minutes of recording, and send it off somewhere, which isn’t the case.
Here’s what he said; “It’s more of a lifestyle. It’s more like your entire existence. I can’t remember the last day I felt relaxed. It was probably a decade ago, where I wasn’t stressing about something or the comments people make. I think that is my biggest problem with people’s perception: that it’s easy. I would sleep three to four hours a night and work every day, and edit the video, try and come up with something, or in the morning, film for five hours, edit for six hours… and then go to bed and wake up and do it again.”
LazarBeam was not the only content creator who opened up about their struggles and the difficulties they face as Ninja recently also admitted he struggles with the “huge pressure” of streaming, while Poki also revealed she worries about taking time off and falling behind.
