Twitch is most known for gaming, but the platform has become popular for many kinds of live streaming entertainment, and one streamer, goes by the name Kyootbot, is making waves with her own dating show.
Despite the fact that other streamers, such as Austin, have done shows like “love or host,” Kyootbot has made herself the center of attention, and it’s a form of content that’s clearly working for her.
Called “Speed Dating Viewers”, Kyootbot has had a massive increase in her following in the last month, often garnering over 3,000 continuous viewers, some of whom wish to be on the show. Back in July, Kyootbot was unbanned from Twitch after a lengthy suspension due to a mistake on Twitch’s part.
Her YouTube channel had just over 68,000 subscribers at the time. However, after only a few months, that number has nearly doubled, with over 40,000 new followers in the last month alone. According to statistics, her average viewing has increased by 130 percent to over 3,000.
All of this is thanks to a straightforward, but successful, and repeatable format in which viewers can join her discord for a chance to speed date. The game is fast too, with hopeful viewers having only 7 minutes to impress Kyootbot and the conversation, after which they can extend or end it with a chat poll.
On the other hand, inviting random people into a broadcast to talk and appear on camera can be dangerous, as any potential community guidelines violations committed by these viewers could result in action being taken against the channel.
It’s impossible to control the behavior of strangers, some of whom may be out to get the streamer, just like it’s hard to control the acts of strangers in real life. As Kyootbot’s channel grows in popularity and her speed dating show gets more well-known, the number of trolls trying to ruin it will grow too.
But thus far, it’s been a great hit, and Kyootbot is well on her way to reaching 200,000 Instagram followers. Speed dating isn’t exactly a new trend on Twitch, but it has the potential to become the next big thing.
