One of the most well-known people in the internet influencer community is Darren Watkins Jr., better known online as IShowSpeed. But he has built a bad reputation for himself.
He has participated in numerous scandals and experienced severe repercussions for his conduct. The influencer has come under fire from many, and the newest Twitch phenomenon Kai Cenat has been outspoken about his opinions on Darren’s conduct.
In terms of age, Kai Cenat is not too far removed from Speed. At the time this article was written, Speed was 17 and Kai was 20 years old, making the age difference between the two influencers about three years. Therefore, it is not unexpected that Kai is aware of what it’s like to be a young person in the dynamic and fiercely competitive internet content industry. Online, IShowSpeed is known for his contentious behavior. He has received a lot of harsh criticism for his manner throughout the years. Speed was permanently barred from Twitch, owned by Amazon, when it was discovered that he had made “problematic” remarks towards female streamers during his live broadcasts.
Speed, though, didn’t stop there. Even after being removed from the site, Darren continued to get involved in a variety of controversy. After being banned, Darren jumped on board YouTube and began streaming continuously there. He received a lot of criticism and backlash recently for “mistakenly” endorsing a cryptocurrency fraud on his channel.
One of the most well-known users on Twitch at the moment is Kai Cenat. In October 2022, he achieved the status of “most subscribed streamer” on Twitch. He has grown extraordinarily in a time frame that is unheard of. Kai recently revealed his thoughts on the recent controversies surrounding his fellow content maker IShowSpeed in a podcast.
Kai Cenat said; “There are times where they try to cancel him over certain sh*t but he is soo oblivious to like, he young like, he deada*s don’t know right from wrong.”
Cenat believes that Speed simply lacks the maturity to understand what he is doing. He says that every time he has seen him face to face, he has imparted knowledge to him. Kai finds it amusing how immature Speed is. He revealed that each time they met, Speed would ask Kai, “Bro, why you keep thinking like that?” when Kai tried to give him advice.
Not all of the fans agreed with Kai’s viewpoint. Others defended Speed, but many felt that since he is almost 18 years old, he should take responsibility for his actions. Kai Cenat asserts that speed will never be discontinued since he is simply too immature to understand what he is doing incorrectly.
