Federico Gaytan AKA Fedmyster virtually vanished from the internet after receiving criticism for his treatment of fellow streamer Pokimane and sexual harassment claims. After receiving criticism for calling out Pokimane in an allegedly leaked Google doc, the former OfflineTV streamer quit Twitch in 2020.
Despite initially going missing, Fedmyster declared he would be back in the summer of 2021. Many people in the streaming community didn’t feel comfortable with this, especially after Fedmyster cracked a few jokes about it during a Twitch stream.
After receiving such negative feedback for his comeback last year, many people are wondering if Fedmyster is still streaming. On social media, Fedmyster has largely remained silent. It’s been challenging to determine whether he has returned to Twitch and what his current streaming schedule is since his last tweet was in February 2021.
Fedmyster hadn’t been seen on Twitch very frequently after his initial return in 2021. Even so, he took yet another year off, coming back most recently in July 2022. He returned with an update stream, in which he informed his followers of his decision to go live at random.
Fedmyster chose to take a break from streaming and use the Just Chatting channel to update viewers on his life over the previous year. According to Fedmyster, he downloaded some unauthorized plug-ins, which led to the hacking of his Twitch and YouTube accounts. Fedmyster has since learned, explored, and tried new projects, including entering the music industry.
Fedmyster claims that there are a few aspects of the work that he isn’t yet prepared to share with his community. Recently, he claims to have felt happier, even claiming that he is now genuinely happy. This is probably because he took a break from streaming, which had him ready to jump. He declared he would stop talking about his past entirely going forward after a fan donated to him with a message about gold-digging women lying about him.
Instead, he wanted to return to Twitch to inform his devoted followers who have continued to be interested in his content. Fans of the contentious streamer will have to wait to see whether Fedmyster decides to make another appearance on Twitch. Even though his chat was filled with encouragement from his most devoted followers, Fedmyster acknowledged that he continues to receive a lot of hateful messages as a result of the serious accusations that have been made against him.
Since many people don’t want to see him back online after those serious accusations, his return to Twitch will probably increase the number of these messages he gets.
