The legendary Halo series and Xbox are celebrating their 20th anniversary today. Microsoft may not or may announce the early launch of Halo Infinite Multiplayer today during the Xbox Anniversary Event, according to rumors circulating the internet.

In the midst of the ongoing rumors, a brand new trailer for the Halo Infinite live-action series “Lightbringers” was released today, detailing how Master Chief obtained his exoskeleton technology.

This teaser confirms rumors that an early Multiplayer launch will be announced today. Halo Infinite Multiplayer Edition will be standalone and “free-2-play,” as previously stated.

With the recent release of the Multiplayer Edition, a dedicated Halo outlet called Halo Hub also claims that a playable demo of the campaign will be available today. They also mentioned that popular streamers and gaming personalities are aware of the information but are unable to comment because they are currently under NDA.

Regardless of the NDA, NatetheHate, a popular YouTuber who was one of the first to “confirm” the multiplayer release, is now claiming that the multiplayer release has been delayed due to a said unexpected bug with the demo that allowed players to access the entire story, and that 343 is working to fix it. However, it will still be released on November 15th (today).

While a well-known leaker — HaloDotAPI — claimed that the Multiplayer Edition would be released a few days after the 15th, the servers would go live on Monday.

An earlier listing on Microsoft Store referred to the 11-15-21 date as the release date, which has since been changed to 12-8-21. Even some developers have been seen playing the multiplayer games, and it’s been reported that some are privately telling friends to “take tomorrow off work.”

Pringles also had a countdown timer running in conjunction with a Halo promotion event, indicating that some form of gameplay would begin on Monday (November 15th), but by the end of the day, the countdown timer had been removed from the event page.

Halo Infinite is set to release on all platforms on December 8th, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass “day one.” We’ll have to wait a few more hours for any confirmed news, as every rumour points to today’s Xbox Anniversary event, which will begin at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET and be broadcast live on Twitch.tv/Xbox.
