Dr. Disrespect is a controversial figure in the gaming and streaming world and while he is known for his animated personality and thrilling gameplay, he has made his fair share of industry mistakes. Where in the past, he has been accused of racism and he has been permanently banned from the streaming platform Twitch and these are some of DrDisrespect’s controversial issues to date.
Streaming from an E3 2019 public bathroom
Dr Disrespect decided to do his first real-life stream at E3 2019. At first, he was interacting with fans and developers, and everything seemed to be going well. However, things quickly worsened. Given that Dr Disrespect’s primary goal is to create entertaining content, it is understandable that he chose to stream at the public restroom at E3 2019.
Twitch, on the other hand, was not amused when he and his cameraman entered a bathroom with a rolling camera. Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch and E3 as a result of the incident, as it said that it violated Twitch’s community guidelines and terms of service, as well as California’s “invasion of privacy” law. The fact that this was his first time attending an E3 conference only adds to his misery. This could have propelled his career to the next level, given his rate of growth.
Dr. Disrespect’s relationship has sparked controversy
The charismatic, unapologetic personality for which Dr Disrespect has become known will be maintained more often than not. Guy Bheam, on the other hand, was the one who broke the news to his sponsors and viewers that he had been cheating on his wife and delivered an emotional apology. Doc revealed shortly after the incident that he needed to “take time off” from streaming in order to repair his relationship with his partner.
Dr. Disrespect has been accused of being racist
Dr. Disrespect is very outspoken about his thoughts on streams. He will occasionally include some colorful language in his streams and went on one of his infamous rants when PUBG was at its peak of power. As a result, he mocked the Chinese accent, despite the fact that the player’s name was written in that language.
This did not sit well with American actor Jimmy Wong, who chastised him for his actions and made an entire video about the act, and he has crossed the line with his comments on several occasions. Dr. Disrespect, on the other hand, seemed unconcerned about the criticism and brushed it aside.
Dr. Disrespect is no longer on Twitch
The reasons for Twitch’s banning Dr Disrespect are still unknown, which is why it could be the platform’s biggest controversy ever. Dr Disrespect was devastated because he had built his entire fan base on Twitch and gained a following on YouTube Live since then, where he plays games like Warzone, Apex Legends, and others.
Doc has been able to get out of every corner he has found himself in. The streamer has recently adopted a more composed demeanor and has managed to stay out of trouble.
