A popular FIFA Twitch Streamer, Castro_1021 has been permanently banned from FIFA 22 for allegedly engaging in FUT coin distribution, which involves players selling in-game coins to other players. EA has explicitly prohibited the practice, claiming that it causes “inflation” in the game economy because players are using money they did not earn through gameplay.
The ban was announced live on his stream, prompting an animated response from the streamer, who was enraged by the decision and categorically denied the allegation leveled against him by EA.
Castro will no longer be able to trade on the FIFA marketplace as a result of the ban. He took to Twitter, using the hashtag #FreeCastro and tagging the EA Sports FIFA account, which he has since deleted for unknown reasons.
Castro maintains that he did nothing wrong and demands that he be released. If EA determines that the disciplinary action was made in error, his account may be reinstated, but this is far from a guarantee.
Castro has more than 3.3 million Twitch followers and he is known for his FIFA content and live opening of packs of FIFA trading cards.
