Twitch weddings are uncommon to see. Even while IRL streaming has grown to be a common practice, most people still draw the line at some point, and a wedding is one of the most private occasions in a person’s life. Abe “BaboAbe” Chung and Wendy “Natsumiii” Luo didn’t see it that way.
Tens of thousands of spectators tuned in to see the couple celebrate their wedding on Twitch because they wanted to make it even more special. The OfflineTV team is friendly with BaboAbe and Natsumiii. Naturally, this meant that some of the most prominent streamers from the company (as well as the platform) were present.
Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, Lily “LilyPichu” Ki, Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, and others were among the prominent OTV guests. The wedding was broadcast live on Natsumiii’s channel. It had somewhat more than 40,000 viewers on average throughout the ceremony, which is substantially more than the 2,253 viewers she typically had throughout the year. The fact that it reached 60,000 viewers at its height is more astounding. This not only beat her old mark of 39,000 but also solidified the wedding as a smash stream.
It was a fairly typical wedding, save from the fact that it was live streamed to a large audience.
It had all the bells and whistles of a typical ceremony and was held in a hall with friends and relatives. But because they wanted to keep the celebration following the ceremony more of a private affair, the feed came to an end soon after the ceremony.
Awee this is actually so adorable! I never seen anything like this!
