Twitch streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa AKA Amouranth is facing backlash after investing in multiple gas stations in the face of rising gas prices across the United States.
Amouranth has been buying gas stations in the United States in recent months, including one 7-Eleven for $10 million.
People are now accusing her of “gouging customers” and being capitalistic because gas prices in the United States are at an all-time high, owing to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Amouranth has since issued a series of Twitter statements defending her recent business decisions.
Amouranth is one of the most popular Twitch streamers, and she’s now using the money she’s made from the platform to expand her businesses, because a large majority of Americans are likely to be affected by the country’s current absurdly high gas prices, it’s understandable that someone with such a large following would be chastised for entering the oil and gas industry at this time.
