It’s safe to assume that your parents didn’t envision Twitch streaming as a way for you to achieve fame and fortune when you were born.
Adin Ross‘s parents might have been different. Adin Ross, who is currently worth $2 million, appears to have followed that path. Although this is only an estimate, estimates in the Twitch streaming world can vary significantly.
The fact that Ross has become so popular is undeniable. He has over 4 million Twitch followers, 1.2 million YouTube subscribers, and over half a million Twitter followers.
So, how did he get here in terms of travel? His story is truly remarkable: the 20-year-old is Jewish and has an older sister named Naomi. He was born in Boca Raton, Florida. Ross grew up in Fresno, where he attended Hebrew school and allegedly skipped sketches in order to stream on Twitch.
His personal life has been described as “unsettled.” Ross revealed on a podcast that he was stabbed in his sleep when he was nine years old by an erratic relative, indicating that his parents’ relationship was “unsettled.”
Ross freely admits that he suffers from depression and suicidal thoughts, but this hasn’t stopped him from following his own path to success, and he claims that his Twitch streaming and gaming careers have helped him deal with his demons.
They’ve certainly kept him occupied. His monthly earnings are now estimated to be between $3 and $5 million, but those are just estimates, and Twitch streamers love to brag.
Ross got his start in gaming with NBA 2K, mastering the platform and amassing a fan base that once witnessed him win a $50,000 wager during a late-night stream. Ross’s popularity soared after he befriended LeBron James’ son, Bronny, but that was only the start of Ross’s ability to make friends in high places. Ross has most likely claimed a famous young rapper as a friend at some point.
Feuds are also a part of the formula. Ross got into a major beef with another rapper, Charles “Julio Foolio” Jones, after Ross was caught on camera singing one of the rapper’s songs during a couple of his streams.
He’s become known for starting Twitch wars with other rappers and streamers, and many of these feuds have a WWE feel to them.
Some of his supporters are beginning to wonder if any of this is real, or if it’s all about the pub and the money.
His love life, predictably, is also all over the place. Ross insisted he was still dating a girl known only as “Stacy” despite a rumor tsunami sparked by a stolen kiss with fellow streamer Corinna Kopf during a recent live stream. His current dating status appears to be up in the air, so expect another controversy about that to hit the airwaves soon.
Ross’s current sources of income are Twitch, his YouTube channel, and gaming sponsorship deals. He recently “inadvertently” announced a new gaming sponsorship during a YouTube broadcast, but whether the Twitch streaming phenomenon becomes a staple of the gaming world or a short-lived bubble will likely determine a large portion of his future earnings.
