MoistCr1TiKal snuck up on a Twitch streamer by the name of “LargeThoinks” and surprised him with a raid of over 7,000 viewers, leaving him regretting his cheap channel rewards.
If you watch Twitch streams frequently, you’ve probably used a few of your channel rewards while watching a stream. The creator of these rewards can decide how many points are required to redeem each choice, whether it’s enabling a new emote or starting a sound clip to annoy the streamer.
After MoistCr1TiKal pleasantly surprised him with a raid of thousands of viewers, LargeThoinks, who had set him to trigger a variety of sound clips for an incredibly low price, began to second-guess his choices.
On June 27th, while streaming Halo 2, the Twitch streamer was taken aback by a raid from MoistCr1TiKal, which brought 7,327 viewers to his channel.
Those viewers started following LargeThoinks a short while later, and they started using their channel point rewards right away. The streamer offers six sound clip redemptions for less than 50 points each after a viewer follows a channel for 300 channel points.
Naturally, his new followers took advantage of this by spamming sound clips for almost ten minutes. After a short while, viewers started asking Thoinks to turn off the sound alerts, and many of them left the stream. He finally turned off the sound alerts.
