Fast fingers may win you Fortnite glory, but if your Twitch subscribers can’t hear you clearly, you’ll never be a Twitch star. JBL’s Quantum Stream is the audio company’s first dedicated gaming mic, and it’s built to hear you clearly. It’s designed for gamers who want to go viral.
Players can switch from solo session to ensemble podcast with the flick of a switch thanks to a pair of pick-up patterns. Is it possible that Mum has come in to tell you that dinner is ready? To mute the mic immediately, press the top button. When your stream is silenced, an RGB ring light illuminates, ensuring that your squad does not hear your supper summons.
The Stream, which comes with a dual-capsule electret condenser, also supports high-resolution 24bit, 96kHz sampling, which is ideal for ASMR. It also works with JBL’s QuantumEngine PC software: connect it via USB and tweak the EQ settings to suit your audience, as well as sync RGB hues to match the rest of your setup.
The Quantum Stream has a swivel head that allows it to rotate 360 degrees, and a universal mount makes it simple to position, whether you’re propping it on a tabletop or attaching it to a boom arm. It should make a statement on any desk thanks to the metal accents.
Are you prepared to speak up and be heard? When it launches in Spring 2022, the JBL Quantum Stream will cost £90 (€100).
