Former Super Smash Bros. pro Gonzalo Barrios AKA “ZeRo” filed a lawsuit against his former roommate Jacqueline Choe AKA “Jisu”, accusing her of defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress over sexual misconduct allegations she made in July 2020.
ZeRo claims that the allegations made by his former roommate Choe and anonymous defendants led to the termination of his contracts with Facebook Gaming and Tempo Storm, as well as the deletion of his Twitch channel, with over 520,000 followers. Barrios filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on November 19th and is seeking unspecified damages.
The said case revolves around the four allegations made by Choe, which Zero and his attorney contend are untrue.
Choe claimed in a July 2020 tweet that Barrios and his now-wife Vanessa started dating when he was 20 and she was 15, and that he later physically abused her. The suit claims that Barrios and Vanessa are 31 months apart in age and that he has never physically abused Vanessa.
Choe claimed that Barrios solicited sexually explicit videos from an anonymous 14-year-old girl and offered to fly another underage girl to events to perform sexual acts. In a Twitlonger post from July 2020, Barrios admitted to the allegation that he asked the 14-year-old girl for such a video.
He and his attorney deny the allegation that he offered to fly a minor to an event to perform sexual acts in the lawsuit filed November 19th, but they do not address the other allegation.
Barrios and his lawyer also claim that while they were living together, he never showed Choe sex worker listings on Craigslist or hentai, claiming that Craigslist banned such ads in 2010
