It can be wonderful to have a family member who enjoys gaming as much as you do. Whether you get to play games with them or just enjoy in-depth conversations about games that go beyond “are ya winning son?” Having someone you care about with whom you can share a hobby is wonderful.
However, the unfortunate thing about having a gaming friend is that they can actually tell if you’re any good at it.
As Twitch streamer MightyTeapot learned when his mother joined his Discord call mid-stream and began verbally tearing him and his team to shreds, you can’t just brush it off if you’re losing in an online game. They know you’re not doing well, and there’s no point trying to deny it.
The streamer’s mother joined in while he was playing Guild Wars 2, and it was obvious that she had come for blood. Ouch. No one would probably dare to respond to that barrage. However, considering how much they were laughing the entire time, MightyTeapot and his team were obviously amused by the whole thing.
In order to provide context, it should be noted that the streamer was on his fifth day of trying to complete the new Challenge Mode for the Harvest Temple Strike Mission, which was added to the game at the end of the previous month. The challenge is no joke, but hopefully, the extra push from his mother will give his team the momentum they need to succeed.
