SypherPK’s Gaming Setup: An In-Depth Guide

SypherPK has been creating video gaming content since his middle-school days back in 2011. After years of grinding, and a lot of luck with Fortnite, he has since become one of the main streamers who are synonymous with the game. Although he was a pro for Luminosity Gaming from mid-2018 until the end of 2019, he is primarily known as an entertainer with excellent mechanical skills, his educational content and duos and squads with other big streamers. Below, we have provided a list of the equipment that makes up SypherPK’s gaming setup to keep maintain his edge in-game.

WHAT MONITOR DOES SYPHERPK USE?

SypherPK uses an Alienware 25 AW2518H monitor. The AW2518H is a 24.5” monitor that offers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p at a refresh rate of up to 240Hz and a response time of 1ms. It is designed with G-SYNC technology that helps to prevent input lagging, display stutters and tearing.

Its stand allows for adjustment options of between 0 – 13.3cm (4-inches) in height, an angle viewing of 170°/160°, tilting of between  -5° to 25°, pivoting between -90° to 90° and swiveling between -20° to 20°.  It also has VESA wall mounting capabilities.

WHAT MOUSE DOES SYPHERPK USE?

 

SypherPK uses a Razer Viper Ultimate mouse. The Razer Viper Ultimate is a wireless, ambidextrous gaming mouse that is fitted with a Razer 5G optical sensor that offers a range of up to 20,000 dpi. The dpi button on the bottom of the mouse is preset with settings of 400, 800, 1800, 2400, and 3200 dpi which can be adjusted through the Razer Synapse software.

In addition to the sensor having 99.6% resolution accuracy, it also has a tracking speed of 650IPS with 50G acceleration. It boasts five programable buttons, two of which are located on either side of the of the mouse above the thumb-grip. Although it has a battery life of up to 70houts, it can also be used while it is charging with the cable. There is also the option of buying a separate docking and recharge station for it. It weighs in at 74g (2.61oz) and has dimensions of 12.67 x 6.62 x 3.78cm (4.99 x 2.61 x 1.49”.)

WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES SYPHERPK USE?

SypherPK uses a SteelSeries QcK Gaming Surface (XXL) mousepad. SypherPK’s gaming setup includes the XXL version of the ‘bestselling mouse pad of all time.’ It is made from a micro woven cloth that is designed to optimize both low and high tracking movements. Its dimensions are 40 x 90 x 0.41cm (15.75 x 35.43 x 0.16”) with a weight of 201.3g (7.1oz). It also has rubberized grips on its base to help prevent it from sliding.

WHAT HEADSET DOES SYPHERPK USE?

SypherPK uses Sennheiser HD 700 headphone. These over-ear, stereo headphones have been discontinued. They have a frequency response rate of 10 – 42,000Hz, 105dB SPL and nominal impedance of 150Ohms.

WHAT MICROPHONE DOES SYPHERPK USE?

SypherPK uses a Shure SM7B microphone. The Shure SM7B is a cardioid-patterned large-diaphragm microphone that has a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz, an impedance of 150ohm and a sensitivity of -50dB. It is powered with an XLR cable but doesn’t require phantom power to operate. Nonetheless, you will still also need to by an audio interface to accommodate the XLR cable. In addition to the removable wind shield, there is also an active stand nut with which to connect the mic to a boom arm or mic stand.

There is a high-press filter and presence booster button located on its base with which to improve the sound quality, as well as an inbuilt pop-filter to help guard against plosive sounds from slipping through. Its RMP106 cartridge can be replaced if need be.

WHAT WEBCAM DOES SYPHERPK USE?

SypherPK uses a Sony a6500 camera. The Sony a6500 is a professional mirrorless DSLR camera that is the third model in the a6000 series. It offers an ISO range of 10 – 25,600 that can be expanded up to 51,200 with up to 11fps of continuous video recording. Furthermore, it can record at up to 4K UHD for a resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 and its APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor can shoot fast-paced recordings of up to 120fps, but the motion frame rate can also be set at either 1fps, 2fps, 4fps, 8fps, 15fps, 30fps, 60fps, or 120fps.

The 7.5cm (2.95″) LCD screen can be tilted up to 7.62cm (3”). The camera has dimensions of 12 x 6.7 x 5.3cm (4.75 x 2.75 x 2.13”) with a weight of 453g (1lb). It also has E-mounting capabilities for fitting other lenses.

This camera comes in at nearly $1,100 USD, so although it is an excellent camera, it may be well beyond what your setup actually needs. In fact there are many top streamers such as Clix, TSM_Daequan and CohhCarnage who opt for regular plug-and-play cameras that cost a fraction of this.
