TSM_Daequan grew up playing video games, and especially loved MMOs, which he continued maining right through his high school career. His focus only shifted to fps games during college, when he decided to attempt a career at streaming by dropping out of college and putting all of his savings on the line towards buying a new PC. Fortunately for him, his choice panned out with the release of Fortnite and his chance encounter with Dakotaz, with whom he began playing duos. They then began competing in tournaments which further boosted their channels and landed TSM_Daequan a spot on TSM in February 2018. Although he is sponsored by Logitech, it is still worthwhile to look into the equipment that makes up TSM_Daequan’s gaming setup, as it’s unlikely that he would sacrifice his stream and gameplay quality for a sponsorship.


TSM_Daequan uses an ASUS VG248QE monitor. The ASUS VG248QE is a 24-inch monitor with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution and dimensions of 56.94 x 49.99 x 23.1cm (22.4 x 19.7 x 9.1”) with the stand and 56.94 x 34.04 x 5.73cm (22.4 x 13.4 x 2.6”) on its own for VESA wall mounting. It also has height adjustment options for between 40.64cm – 51.44 cm (16 to 20¼”), a tilt of between +15° to -5°, and 90° rotation capabilities.

It offers a 1ms response rate and 144Mhz refresh rate as well as an 80,000,000:1 smart contrast ratio. The integrated NVIDIA 3D LightBoost Technology is included to further enhance the realism of images by improving the brightness of the LED backlighting.

TSM_Daequan uses a Logitech G600 mouse. The G600 is a real gamers mouse that is designed specifically for MMO mains. It offers 20 programmable macro buttons, 12 of which are located on the right thumb side that are preset with MMO settings. The other buttons include the serrated scroll wheel, two dpi buttons, the right and left clickers and an additional G shift ring finger button. All of these buttons are reprogrammable aside from the dpi and mode switch buttons. The RGB backlighting for the keys can be changed via the G600’s software. Each dpi button can be set with five dpi levels.

It utilizes an Avago 9800 laser sensor that can be set at a resolution of between 50 – 8,200dpi with a report rate of up to 1,000 p/s and a maximum speed of up to 4,06m/s (160”) . It’s total wight is 133g (4.7oz) and has dimensions of 4.07 x 7.37 x 11.68cm (1.6 x 2.9 x 4.6”).

TSM_Daequan uses a Logitech G640 mousepad. TSM_Daequan uses the large-sized version of the Logitech G640 gaming mousepad. It is a basic mousepad with a rubberized underside for grip, as well as a cloth surface to allow for performance tracking. Its dimensions are 40 x 0.3 x 46cm (15.75 x 0.12 x 18.11”), with a weight of 354.37g (12.5oz.).

TSM_Daequan uses a Logitech G613 keyboard. TSM_Daequan clearly loves his macros as this keyboard is standard-sizes with an additional 6 programmable G-keys located in a left column of the keyboard. It also features an internet connection button, mute button and volume control as well as media player buttons. It utilizes Romper G switches that have an actuation point of 0.15cm (0.059”.)

It is important to note that the wrist-rest is not removable. It also doesn’t have any backlighting options. It requires AA batteries and has no charging port.

TSM_Daequan uses an ASTRO Gaming A50 headset. The Astro A50s are a wireless, closed-backed over-ear headset with 7.1 Dolby surround-sound capabilities. The have a 15-hour battery life and come with a docking station that automatically recharges the battery while they are resting on it. Its range is up to 9.14m (30ft) They have a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz and an SPL of 118dB at 1kHz.

It has an attached unidirectional, noise-canceling boom microphone that mutes when flipped up, which it generally is during TSM_Daequan’s streams. There are also two buttons located on the right earcup which allow the user to adjust the volume of sounds from the game against input from the player’s voice. There is also a power button, EQ button, volume control switch and on/off button for the surround sound.

TSM_Daequan uses an Audio-Technica AT2020XLR microphone. This is the XLR version of the AT2020, which means that it requires 48V of phantom power from a pre-amp, as well as an XLR cable in order to register on the recording device. It utilizes a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern that helps to reduce the chances of picking up unwanted background noise.

As for specifications, it has a frequency response rate of 20 – 20,000Hz, a nominal impedance of 100Ohms, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 74dB/1kHz @ 1Pa.

TSM_Daequan uses a Logitech C920 Webcam. The Logitech C920 is a basic plug-and-play webcam that is pretty popular among both smaller and bigger streams alike, including Aceu, DrLupo and Fireburner. It can record at either 720p or 1080p at 30 fps for a screen resolution of up to 1920 x 1080. Although it has a built-in microphone, most users will rely on either their headset mic or dedicated mic instead.
