Two stream snipers who were on So Hyun ‘Kkyual’ Kim’s team in League of Legends held her hostage while she was playing. She was trapped and the enemy lineup perma-focused her, causing over 120 deaths and a ban shortly after the game.
League of Legends’ toxicity is nothing new, but when So Hyun ‘Kkyual’ Kim was virtually stalked and bullied on the Korean server, the bar for what is acceptable and ways to abuse the system reached an all-time high.
The snipers worked together to extend the game as long as they could after being simultaneously stream sniped by two of their teammates and two of the opposition.
Over the course of more than three hours, So Hyun Kim caused over 120 fatalities, which led to a subsequent 14-day ban imposed by the Riot. She was probably reported by the stream snipers for intentional feeding and a bad attitude, and the report system took care of the rest.
In case anyone was wondering, there wasn’t enough support for either side to give up.
To gain control of the game, the trolls banded together. In order to locate the streamer, Jhin and Nasus on her side cut through waves and communicated with Senna and Evelynn on the other team. This avoided split pushing and allowed the game to last unnaturally long.
Whether or not the stream snipers received punishment is unknown. But there’s a good chance that these players managed to avoid any sort of punishment if they know how to work around the report system.
Although this game lasted a total of three hours, it wasn’t quite the longest game ever. A 4h20m run time in 2016 broke the previous record.
