Viewers Help Streamer Stoopzz

Oliver “Stoopzz” Sabahi, a Twitch broadcaster, shed a few tears during a broadcast on August 1 after his viewers banded together to cover his enormous medical expenses.

Stoopzz gained over 175,000 Twitch followers since he began streaming in July 2017 with his World of Warcraft broadcasts, which he then switched to Black Desert Online feeds. Stoopzz is the 4201st most popular streamer on TwitchTracker based on his follower count, which puts him ahead of the vast majority of content creators trying to establish themselves, but streaming Black Desert Online hasn’t yet turned into a very lucrative career for him.

The top 1,000 and 10,000 Twitch streamers each make a minimum of $7,063 and $904 per month, respectively, according to a 2023 poll by StreamScheme.

Stoopzz was understandably surprised by a hospital bill in excess of $60,000 after sustaining a broken hip during a trip to Mexico in late July, as he is probably somewhere in the middle of that income bracket. His Twitch viewers made sure that this sad story had a happy conclusion by giving him hundreds of paid memberships and donations that immediately assisted him in paying for his medical expenditures, even though the emergency surgery he needed could have put him in a debilitating debt. The streamer wiped tears from his face during his most recent broadcast and remarked, “Thank you guys very much.”

Stoopzz likely still has a long road to recovery because he fractured his hip three times. It remains to be seen whether his physical therapy interferes with his broadcast schedule, but the content producer made it clear he’s anxious to resume his regular Black Desert Online feeds as soon as possible. He missed a total of 12 days of broadcasting due to his injury in Mexico. Stoopzz has a devoted fan base that is unlike any other internet entertainer’s. General Sam, a well-known Twitch streamer who recently received a dead pig in the mail, is the most current example of this.

Not only Stoopzz but other well-known content producers have recently struggled with health difficulties. Famous Twitch streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa disclosed she had late-stage ovarian failure back in June, shortly after Valorant streamer Kyedae went up about her cancer diagnosis. Famous YouTuber IShowSpeed ended up in a Tokyo hospital on July 30.
