An In-Depth Look At Vader’s Gaming Setup

Vader's gaming setup

Vader is a role-playing streamer who has been part of the RP scene since 2014. What really helped to grow his channel was when streamers SodaPoppin and Summit1G started playing GTA V on the No Pixel server that he plays on. They met and began collaborating, which really helped to boost his following. He has continued to grow ever since. Below we have provided a list of the peripherals that form part of Vader’s gaming setup, in case you’re wondering what he plays on.

WHAT MOUSE DOES VADER USE?

Vader uses a Corsair Glaive mouse. The CORSAIR Glaive is a wired gaming mouse that is integrated with a PixArt PMW3367 optical sensor. This sensor offers a DPI range of 100 – 16,000 that can be set in increments of 1 through tis Corsair iCue 2.0 software. Up to five DPI profiles can be stored on the mouse at once. It offers polling rate options of 125, 250, 500, and 1,000Hz. There is also adjustable 3-zone RGB lighting.

One of its big attractions are the three interchangeable thumb-rests that it comes with. Its 6 programmable buttons can also be set through the software. It is designed for a palm-grip style and is intended for right-handed users, and measures 12.4 x 8 x 3.8cm (4.90 x 3.40 x 1.50″).

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES VADER USE?

Vader uses a Corsair K95 keyboard. The Corsair K95 is a wired, mechanical gaming keyboard that is constructed from an aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum frame set with either Cherry MX Speed RGB Silver, RGB Brown, or RGB Blue switches and topped with double-shot PBT keycaps. Vader hasn’t specified which switches he’s opted for with his keyboard. The keycaps can be swapped out for others, and the k95 even comes with a set of textured FPS/MOBA keycaps, as well as a keycap puller. Its soft textured cushioned leatherette palm rest is detachable.

Additionally, there is also a column of six programable macro keys on its left which can be set with up to three profiles. There is also a dedicated volume wheel and multimedia keys in on its top right corner. The per-key RGB backlighting, 19-zone border RGB lighting and macros can be set through Corsair’s iCUE software. WHAT MICROPHONE DOES VADER USE?

Vader uses an ElectroVoice RE20 microphone. Vader’s gaming setup includes the Electro-Voice RE20, although he hasn’t stated whether he went with the grey or black aesthetic. It has been around since 1968 and features Electro-Voice’s Variable-D technology for reducing proximity effect tonal shifts. Although it was originally intended for studio vocal recordings and instruments such as kick drums and acoustic guitars, it appears in the setups of a few other streamers as well. This includes ProfessorBroman, Pokimane and Kephrii.

Its large dynamic element offers frequency response range of 45 – 18,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 150Ω, a hum pickup level of -130 dBm and a sensitivity of 1.5 mV/pascal. The unidirectional has a noise-cancelling effect by blocking out unwanted background noise and it operates at a front-address. Additionally, it is integrated with an internal blast and wind filter to prevent plosive sounds from disrupting recordings, as well as some internal shock. protection.

WHAT CAMERA DOES VADER USE?

Vader uses a Sony a7 camera. The Sony a7 is a full-frame mirrorless digital camera that is integrated with a 24.3MP Exmor CMOS sensor that offers an ISO range of 200 – 25,600 for video recordings. It offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080p at a frame rate of 5fps and an aspect ratio of 3:2. It also offers fast hybrid autofocus that operates with 117 phase-detection points and an APS-C pf 99 phase-detection AF points. It has a shutter speed of 1/8,000 to 1/4 (1/3 steps) up to 1/60 which can go up to 1/30 in slow shutter mode. It is small with dimensions of 12.7 x 5.5 x 9.4cm (5 x 1.89 x 3.7″) and a weight of 474g (16.72oz,) for easy transportation and IRL use.

However, this is an advanced camera that is well beyond what a new gaming-streamer needs. Especially since there are plenty of high-level streamers who use basic webcams. This includes Sceptic who uses the Logitech BRIO, and AdmiralBulldog who uses the Razer Kiyo. Furthermore, Vader rarely even uses a facecam when he streams for immersive purposes.
