The Happy Hob Devastating End At Elden Ring’s Final Boss

The Happy Hob Devastating End At Elden Ring’s Final Boss

Elden Ring has been out for a few months, which means that more and more players are beating the game’s final boss and experiencing the strange mix of joy and sorrow that comes with completing a FromSoftware game.

Newcomers to this type of game will almost certainly roll credits, pat themselves on the back, and move on to the next game. Then there are the die-hard FromSoftware fans, who have spent the last few weeks collaborating to beat Elden Ring in increasingly absurd ways. No harm done. No upgrades are available. On the dance floor. It’s likely that anything you can think of has already been done.

Beating Elden Ring without taking a single hit is one of the most difficult challenges players can face, if only because any damage taken means the player must restart the run from the beginning. In other words, the further you progress in the game, the more tense things become as you desperately try to avoid returning to square one.

The Happy Hob, a Twitch streamer known for his incredible no-hit playthroughs of games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, is already a legend among FromSoftware fans. Unfortunately, one of his attempts to defeat Elden Ring, in the same manner, failed in the most heartbreaking way possible at the game’s very last boss.

Hob had been ripping through Elden Ring, surviving the game’s final boss, the dreaded Elden Beast, without taking a single hit. He also ripped through the Elden Beast’s health with ease and appeared to be on his way to completing the challenge.

Unfortunately, the Elden Beast was only able to fire one last projectile seconds before Hob delivered the final blow. Hob’s attempt was technically void because two died at the same time.

The Elden Beast’s star attack is particularly awful and nearly impossible to avoid, as many players who have defeated Elden Ring can attest.

Hob will, without a doubt, complete a damage-free run of Elden Ring before long. However, he will be haunted by this loss for some time.
