A popular Canadian streamer Tarzaned has accused Excel Esports‘ Dutch pro League of Legends player Markoon of stream sniping.
Both junglers have been playing separately on the Korean League of Legends server recently, and they ended up on opposing teams.
Tarzaned explained that Markoon had locked in Wukong because he had been stream sniping him and wanted to take Tarzaned’s main champion away. Markoon would not have chosen Wukong otherwise, it was implied.
In the Twitter thread, Markoon responded. The debate has been going on for a few days now, with Tarzaned challenging Markoon to an ‘any solo queue bet.’
Some accused Tarzaned of having an ego for making such statements, while others claimed Markoon was doing things like spamming emotes to irritate him in the game.
Markoon is a League of Legends ‘rookie’ with a lot of promise. Last summer, Markoon and support player Advienne were promoted from the Excel Esports academy team to the LEC first team.
Markoon went on to help Excel Esports qualify for the LEC playoffs for the first time earlier this year, while Advienne was replaced by Mikyx, who later moved to Giants Gaming.
