T1 Adds Muchkin To Valorant Roster

T1 has announced the addition of South Korean player Byeon ‘Munchkin’ Sang-beom to their Valorant squad. He was last seen playing for Crazy Raccoon in Japan.

After acquiring Son ‘xeta’ Seon-ho and head coach Yoon ‘Autumn’ Eu-teum from Cloud9 in May, T1 is adding another Korean to their Valorant roster.

Munchkin was Crazy Raccoon’s in-game leader during the Valorous Champions Tour in 2021 and the first stage of 2022.

Munchkin was last seen in front of international Valorant fans at the year-end Valorant Champions, where Crazy Raccoon were eliminated in the group stage after losses to Vikings and Team Secret.

Munchkin played on a roster with Japanese and South Korean players during his time with Crazy Raccoon.

Crazy Raccoon, along with ZETA DIVISION, has been one of Japan’s top two teams, and Munchkin has traveled with the team to every major international tournament up until the most recent VCT Masters tournament in Iceland.

Before joining Crazy Raccoon, the South Korean player was a member of Cloud9 Korea. The team competed in First Strike: South Korea and other tournaments before disbanding just four months later. Munchkin met xeta and Autumn for the first time on the Cloud9 Korea team.

He played Overwatch before joining Valorant, appearing in the Overwatch League with two different teams, Seoul Dynasty and Boston Uprising.

Munchkin will now join a T1 team that is rebuilding after missing out on the VCT Challengers events this year. T1 is still committed to competing in North America, according to Joe Marsh, the organization’s CEO.

Joshua ‘steel‘ Nissan, Zander ‘thwifo’ Kim, Josh ‘pwny’ VanGorder, Son ‘xeta’, Seon-ho, and Byeon ‘Munchkin’ Sang-beom make up T1’s current roster.
