Streamers Who Left Twitch

Streamers Who Left Twitch

For over a decade, Twitch has been the go-to platform for streamers all over the world, with hundreds of thousands of people streaming every day. However, not everyone can call the site home, as many streamers have been kicked off for a variety of reasons.

This list will look at five streamers who have stopped using Twitch and the circumstances surrounding their inability to stay on the platform, because their situations and circumstances are all different, and thus incomparable, this list does not rank any of these individual streamers.

Indiefoxx

Before she was banned from the site last year, Indiefoxx was one of the most popular hot tub streamers, rivaling Amouranth at the time. However, it appears that her fame contributed to her demise, as many Twitch users complained at the time that streamers who displayed raunchy content shouldn’t be allowed.

Indiefoxx’s ban was imposed on June 28, 2021, and it is still in effect with no end in sight. She continues to upload fashion videos to YouTube on a regular basis, showcasing new outfits from popular brands such as Victoria’s Secret.

While the ban did not end her career, if she continued to stream, she would almost certainly be competing with Amouranth on Twitch.

Leafyishere

During the years 2015-2016, Leafyishere was one of the most popular YouTubers, creating extremely popular content that centered on giving harsh commentary on popular videos or people who piqued his interest.

Leafyishere’s entire career has been built on criticizing others, including making comments that the majority of the internet found offensive. In 2017, he went on a two-year hiatus, leaving his fans to seek out other creators on the internet.

When he returned to YouTube, he went on a killing spree, attacking a number of well-known internet figures for their character or fan behavior.

Pokimane was one of his targets, and he made numerous videos criticizing her and her fans. In order to avoid further controversy, Twitch, YouTube, and most other social media sites permanently banned him for harassing the female streamer.

IShowSpeed

IShowSpeed has recently become one of the internet’s most popular creators, thanks to his outbursts of rage while playing video games. Twitch does not appear to be as enthusiastic as the rest of the internet, and with good reason.

IShowSpeed made aggressive and derogatory comments towards another female guest on popular streamer Adin Ross‘s livestream, making other streamers and most of the viewers uncomfortable.

He was permanently banned from the site after this stream. Despite the backlash and ban, he now streams on YouTube and has become extremely popular.

JiDion

Jidion, like Leafyishere, was banned for making comments on Pokimane’s previous controversies and sending spam messages to her stream mocking her and her audience. because Twitch has a low tolerance for such behavior, he was given a fourteen-day ban, which later became a permanent ban.

Since the ban, JiDion and Pokimane have made amends and collaborated on YouTube videos to demonstrate that they have no animosity toward one another. Furthermore, since being banned from Twitch, he has gained more fans than ever before, making him one of the few people who has become more successful after leaving.

Dr Disrespect

Dr Disrespect is perhaps the most well-known case of Twitch’s unexplained bans, as the popular streamer was banned from the platform without explanation. This left fans perplexed, as they wondered why the two-time champion had been shamefully removed from the site.

Doc has since confirmed that he knows why he was banned, but that he would rather not reveal the information because he is currently pursuing Twitch in court. He now streams on YouTube, where he is quite successful after regaining his built-up audience after some time.

One can only speculate as to why Dr Disrespect was suddenly banned, as well as how much more popular he would be if he wasn’t.

While each streamer may have had a unique impact on the platform, it’s undeniable that some of the names on this list would have been even more popular if they hadn’t been banned from their preferred streaming platform.

However, it appears that some of the aforementioned streamers have been able to capitalize on the increased attention, demonstrating that a ban does not always mean the end of a career.
