Streamer BazzaGazza Reacts As Twitch Bans An Emote

BazzaGazza, a Twitch streamer who mainly shares his Grand Theft Auto Roleplay (GTA RP) exploits, was shocked when Twitch banned an emote for having “sexual content.”

During a live stream on December 30, 2022, BazzaGazza informed his viewers that his emote “bazzShake” has been taken down from Twitch. The emote in question shows BazzaGazza’s mascot, a yellow kangaroo wearing a red scarf, wagging his tail or twerking.

Bazza was irate with Twitch’s lack of communication prior to the emote’s removal, which sparked a contentious discussion over how Twitch enforces its rules. This follows earlier choices made by Twitch and their employees, like the rejection of Jinnytty’s “yyjTasty” emote for the identical “sexual content” justification. Bazza was pretty loud about wanting his emote back. mentioning that it is acceptable to use the official “Kreygasm” emote, which is intended to resemble an orgasm both in its name and in its actual content.

He compared it to more subdued twerking animations of cartoon characters, which Twitch had ruled “too sexual.” It appears that Twitch is cracking down on any emotes that include twerking. The controversial dancing move-related emotes have been the topic of numerous banning instances during the past year.

BigSyn, who was furious that his emote was banned on Twitch despite the site having a full hot tub section, was another casualty of the ban wave. In July 2021, Kara Corvus also lost her twerking emote, and other content creators also reported that their emotes had been deleted. No one from Twitch, including its employees or agents, has commented on the predicament. We are not likely to get a formal explanation because it appears that this scenario has been growing for a few years.
