Shiphtur uses Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones. The beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO are a pair of dynamic, over-ear headphones with an open-backed design that offers a stereo sound experience. They are fitted with 45mm drivers that offer a frequency response range of 5 – 35,000Hz. There are two versions that have either a nominal impedance of 80Ω or 250Ω. WHAT MICROPHONE DOES SHIPHTUR USE?

Shiphtur uses a Neumann TLM 102 microphone. The Neuman TLM 102 MT is the black version of this microphone. It is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that is intended for studio recording of vocals and speech. However, it is also capable of recording louder instruments such as percussion instruments and drums.

It has a sturdy metal construction and utilizes a cardioid polar pattern that operates at a side-address. This provides a noise-cancelling effect that stifles unwanted background noise. Similarly, its built-in pop-filter prevents plosive sounds from filtering into recordings. It still provides a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz, which can be boosted by 6Hz via the high-press filter switch. It has a nominal impedance of 50Ω, at a maximum SPL of 144dB and a sensitivity of 11 mV/Pa. It is powered with an XLR cable and requires 48V phantom power. This will necessitate buying a compatible audio interface as well.
