Nintendo-themed multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) called Pokemon Unite was released earlier this year and it received many positive reviews. Fans continue to play and stream the game. Twitch reports show that over 225,000 people watched Pokemon Unite in the first 24 hours after it went live. The game has maintained its popularity since July, and there is still a sizable community of streamers playing the MOBA on platforms like Twitch.

While some more well-known streamers have dabbled in the MOBA, many less well-known creators, many of whom have less than 10,000 Twitch followers, are regular players. The Pokemon Unite tag on Twitch currently has over 356,000 followers, so it’s a good game to play if you’re a streamer looking to expand your audience.

ToonSlim

With 4.3K followers, ToonSlim is primarily a Pokemon Unite streamer. They mostly play Pokemon Unite, but they’ve also played Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl recently. ToonSlim also offers private competitive Pokemon Unite coaching and gameplay reviews, as well as streaming Nuzlocke-based gameplay on occasion.

IndieBear

According to TwitchMetrics, streamer indiebear is the third most popular Pokemon Unite streamer on Twitch. With 8.9K followers, indiebear has gained popularity by employing more unique strategies, such as focusing solely on supporting Pokemon such as Blissey. The streamer is also known for creating tier lists, which attract new players looking to improve their teams as quickly as possible. Indiebear, like ToonSlim, offers coaching sessions and streams some of their training montages online.

Lutano

Lutano is no stranger to MOBAs. Lutano is the second most popular Pokemon Unite streamer on Twitch after competing in games like Heroes of the Storm and League of Legends. While they are one of Pokemon Unite’s most popular streamers, currently ranked in the top 100 players overall, newcomers will find their streams entertaining. Lutano also takes a different approach, focusing solely on Lucario and maintaining a winning streak.

fwiizone

fwiizone is a great streamer to follow if you want to learn more about Pokemon Unite. Many fans, players, and users  enjoy watching a Master Rank Pokemon Unite player rotate between a wide variety of Pokemon rise through the ranks. Aside from that, fwiizone is always talking about strategy, which can be a huge help to anyone who wants to learn everything there is to know about the game.

GoofGG

GoofGG is another high-ranking streamer with a long list of first-place achievements in Unite events and tournaments – their profile even says “#1 Competitive Pokemon Unite Player.” GoofGG has gained popularity for their tournaments’ Cramorant gameplay and many of their fans and players recommend GoofGG for those interested in getting more serious about games with team voice chat.

It may seem to be that Pokemon Unite is the newest addition to the list of free-to-play MOBA games, but its positive feedback and reviews from its fans and consistent player base suggest that it has a bright future. The game has drawn criticism for its pay-to-win features, particularly after Twitch streamer Moistcr1tikal demonstrated how unbalanced the game’s meta can become when many in-game purchases are made.

Although a September update addressed some of the game’s pay-to-win issues, many players believe it still requires more serious balancing. As a free game, the game appeals to a wide audience, and Pokemon fans who are just getting started have plenty of options for learning from streamers.

Pokemon Unite is now available on iOS and Android devices, as well as the Nintendo Switch.
