One True King is known for putting on events with high-profile Twitch streamers, but the organization, which is only a few years old, has had amateur-level production in the past.
Today, the Asmongold-led organization announced a partnership with WePlay Esports to turn the vision of its creative minds into professionally produced live content.
The deal’s financial terms were not disclosed, but according to a tweet from the organization, WePlay is a strategic investor in addition to assisting with live events and other media production. Asmongold, Esfand, Rich Campbell, Mizkif, Tips Out, Nick Polom, and Jschlatt are listed as OTK owners. MTN Dew is one of OTK’s other partners.
The news comes just one day before the OTK Games Expo, a three-hour event that will feature 30 games and will be broadcast live on Asmongold’s Twitch channel from the WePlay studio.
OTK has broadcast numerous esports tournaments, charity events, and IRL productions in addition to the Games Expo.
Tomorrow’s event, which starts at 1 p.m. CT, will be WePlay’s first official event for OTK. The show will be broadcast live from the WePlay studio in Los Angeles, with Intel, Razer, and Game Fuel as sponsors.
