Fans of New World are calling for harsh punishment for a Twitch streamer who taught over 50 players a PvP exploit while live streaming.
New World developers have been hard at work patching the game, banning players, and trying to stop all of the exploits plaguing Aeternum.
However, those who insist on cheating and breaking the rules in order to gain an advantage in the game’s Wars and Outpost Rush will always exist.
However, one Twitch streamer took things a step further, teaching his 50-player company an exploit to boost their PvP damage. He was caught red-handed, and the community is furious.
User ‘Technoho’ compiled a detailed case showing that one streamer has been teaching an entire Company PvP exploits and suggesting they use it for war in a post to the New World subreddit.
The post explains how the streamer used an overlay to hide the Trade Skill bug in great detail, complete with videos and screenshots and New World’s members also streamed while clearly exploiting the said bug, and the streamer gave a literal lesson on how to use the exploit to Company members.
According to the OP, it is absurd that streamers can get away with blatantly cheating and encouraging their entire company to cheat and exploit knowing that AGS will not intervene.
Over 2,600 upvotes, several endorsements, and nearly 600 comments have been left on the post. These are populated by users who, like the OP, are enraged by the streamer and hope for a ban.
Many complained that the game is getting worse by the day. There have been multiple forum posts on this subject, but none have received a response from the developers.
TheGigameister, the accused streamer, has yet to respond to the allegations and continues to stream on Twitch. Following a massive wave of permabans on November 15th, the community will have to wait and see if he and his company were among those affected, or if they will continue to exploit.
