Twitch streamer Ms Kenner recently claims that a wealthy donor has allegedly harmed her income, threatened to dox her, and even suggested legal action because she has refused to reciprocate their feelings of affection.
Viewer donations account for a large portion of how smaller Twitch streamers make money.
A Destiny 2 streamer ‘Ms Kenner,’ has shared her experiences with a generous donor who she claims has been affecting her income because she didn’t share their feelings about her. She wrote a twitlonger on April 16 detailing her interactions with a particular viewer who is a “public figure in the music industry.”
The viewer eventually revealed they were romantically interested in the streamer after allegedly receiving “tons” of donations from this individual across a variety of platforms.
Kenner, who has a husband and children, clearly did not share this sentiment. As a result, the viewer is said to have disputed all of his PayPal and Twitch donations.
Not only that, but the viewer is said to have threatened her with a $5,000 lawsuit for “romance fraud,” as well as doxing her and her family.
Despite the threats, Kenner stated that she was willing to fight for her income in court with her own lawyer, and on April 18th tweeted that the chargebacks had “progressed.”
Viewers believing a streamer owes them something for donating has been a problem on Twitch for years, but Ms Kenner’s situation demonstrates how dangerous it can be.
