MrSavage’s Gaming Setup and Streaming Gear

mrsavage setup for gaming and streaming

This Norwegian Fortnite prodigy slowly started making his mark in the Fortnite community upon joining Public enemy in May 2018 and beginning to rank highly in various online tournaments. His success attracted NTG Esports, with whom he signed in January 2019. Their investment made off, as by the time the Fortnite World Cup Championship finals rolled round, he had managed to qualify for the solo finals four times and the duos twice. He ultimately placed 29th in the solo finals and 14th alongside BenjyFishy in the solos, thereby walking away with $100,000 collectively. He was just fourteen years old at the time.

He still continues to compete in online tournaments with his duo partner, as well as other popular streamers. With a resume like this, we figured that it would be worthwhile to provide you with a breakdown of the equipment used in MrSavage’s gaming setup. Of course, even though he’s still performing optimally, it’s still important to bear in mind that he is sponsored by ROCCAT.

MrSavage uses an Acer 27-inch Predator XB271HU monitor. The Acer 27-inch Predator XB271HU offers a WQHD display of up to 2560 x 1440p with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a refresh rate of 144Hz and a response time of 4ms.

The Acer Ergostand allows the screen to be tilted at between -5° to 35°, vertically adjusted by up to 12.7cm (5”) and rotated up to 90°. The monitor’s dimensions are 31.5 x 26.9 x 55.1cm (24.2 x 10.6 x 21.7”). It also has VESA wall mounting capabilities.

MrSavage uses a ROCCAT Kone Pure Owl-Eye mouse. The ROCCAT Kone Pure Owl-Eye utilizes a PixArt 3361 optical sensor that has a 1000Hz polling rate and 1ms response time. The dpi options can be set in steps of 100dpi for anywhere between 100 – 12,000dpi for a maximum speed of 250ips / 6.35m/s and a maximum acceleration of 50G.

Despite appearances, it is an ergonomic right-handed mouse. It has a right thumb-rest above which are two macro buttons. These can be set with up to 17 possible functions. There are also two dpi buttons below the scroll wheel in addition to the two clickers.

Its dimensions are 11.81 x 7.01 x 3.94cm (4.65 x 2.76 x 1.55”) and a weight of 88g (3.04oz). The logo has RGB lighting and the mouse’s braided USB 2.0 cable is 1.8m (70.87”) long. I

MrSavage uses a ROCCAT Vulcan 121 AIMO keyboard. MrSavage’s gaming setup includes the ROCCAT Vulcan 121 AIMO RGB keyboard with ROCCAT Titan Brown switches. These tactile switches have an actuation point of 1.8mm as well as a polling rate of 1,000Hz. They are also designed to resist dust build up between the keys and the AIMO lighting engine also allows for each switch to be set with different RGB lighting options, in addition to all keys being remappable. Additionally, the number pad has full NKRO roll-over to aid anti-ghosting.

The chassis is constructed from an anodized aluminum plate that is meant to improve its durability and also comes with a detachable wrist rest. It has dimensions of 462mm x 160mm x 32mm (6.30 x 18.20 x 1.30“) and weighs 950g (3.59lbs.) There is also a variant that implements red switches instead.

MrSavage’s gaming setup includes the Razer Kraken Pro V2 (White) headset. MrSavage has both the black and white versions of the Razer Kraken Pro V2, but usually uses the white pair during his streams. It is an over-ear, open-backed, stereo headset that is built on an aluminum frame.

Its ear cups are fitted with 50mm drivers that provide a frequency response range of 12- 28,000Hz, a nominal impedance of 32Ohms @1Khz, and have a sensitivity of 123dB @ 1,000Hz. The retractable, unidirectional microphone is long and has a frequency response range of 100- 10,000Hz, signal-to-noise ratio of >55dB and a sensitivity of between -38 to 3dB.

The head band is adjustable, with numbered notches that make it easier to reset the size between uses, and to adjust them equally on both sides. The ear-cushions are made up of three layers, namely a heat-transferring outer fabric, a layer of cooling gel and then an internal layer of memory foam. This design is meant to provide gamers with comfort during long-term gaming sessions, which is further aided by its relatively light weight of 322g (0.71lbs.)

The cable length is about 1.3m (4.27ft) and has an in-line analogue volume control wheel, as well as a microphone mute button. It uses a 3.5mm audio jack connector that is compatible with PC, Mac, Xbox One*, PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

MrSavage uses an Audio Technica AT2020+ USB microphone. MrSavage has opted for the USB version of the AT2020 microphone. It is a condenser microphone that has a unidirectional polar pattern and a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz. However, even though it is considered entry-level by some, it is still used by a number of other top-level streamers, including HusKerrs, dizzy and Aceu, so it might be worth considering if you’re just starting out.

It is constructed from sturdy metal and has two knobs on its body for mix and volume control. Furthermore, it has an impedance of 100Ohms, as well as a sample rate of 44.1kHz/48 kHz.

Although you may want to consider investing in a pre-amp as well in order to optimize the audio output, it does also come with a tripod desk stand, travel pouch and pivoting mount stand.
