Genshin Impact was released on September 8th, 2020, It has since amassed an international following and a thriving online community. As the game approaches its first anniversary, miHoYo recently announced a new promotional event in which players can earn 500 Primogems by streaming 15 hours of gameplay on Twitch. Meanwhile, players who gain at least a hundred new followers during the event period will receive additional Primogems.
Genshin’s popularity on the streaming platform has risen in the last two days, presumably as a result of the recent event and an average of 2.5k players have gone live on Twitch under the category of gacha games.
Some fans saw this as an excellent opportunity to expand their fan base and spread their enthusiasm for the game and others, on the other hand, were irritated by the news. After Genshin’s official Twitter announcement, many of them expressed their dissatisfaction.
It is not necessary to attend the Streamer Recruitment Event. It does, however, represent a missed opportunity for players hoping to save up in-game currency in order to obtain the most recent 5-star characters.
With only a few weeks until Genshin’s milestone anniversary, fans can expect miHoYo to create more inclusive in-game missions, such as defeating new enemies or collecting items, to accommodate the majority of the playerbase.
Many Genshin players feel left out, and many believe the latest event is merely a free publicity stunt disguised as “giving back to the community.”
Streamer registration is still open and will close on September 10th at 23:59 UTC +8. The competition will run until September 21st at 23:59 UTC +8.
