League Of Legends In 2021

League of Legends in 2021

Fans of LCS League of Legends will be disappointed to see that one of their home clubs has struggled in the opening three days of Group play. Cloud9 was grouped with two of the favorites to win the League of Legends Worlds competition in the Group of Death.

FunPlus Phoenix and Damwon Gamin are extremely guaranteed to finish first and second in Group A, respectively, while Cloud9 dropped their first game to Rogue, thereby eliminating them from advancing with a win over DWG or FPX.

So far in Season 11 of League of Legends, DWG has been one of, if not the top League of Legends squad. The lone blemish on their record thus far is a loss to Royal Never Give Up in the 2021 MSI finals.

In this League of Legends match, there isn’t much chance for upsets; Damwon Gaming will dominate and may win without allowing C9 to earn even a single kill.

If Cloud9 wants to win this match, they’ll have to play their hearts out. They haven’t faced a squad of this caliber since the MSI, and they didn’t fare well there during the Rumble stage.

To keep DWG from blowing this match wide open, C9 must win the draft, early game, and nearly everything else. Perkz’s Worlds experience and their head-to-head history with DWG this season are the only things working in C9’s favor right now.

Prior to Day 3 of the League of Legends Worlds Group stage at the 2021 MSI, DWG and C9 had met on a few occasions. They were grouped along with DetonatioN FocusMe and Infinity Esports. With a victory in the first round, C9 was able to grab the upper hand against the Korean champs. DWG, on the other hand, made sure C9 couldn’t win again later in the Rumble stage, leaving DWG with a 3-1 lead in the overall head-to-head.

This year, DWG and C9 will face off for the fifth time on October 13th at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. LCS fans should be able to cheer on their home team via the official League of Legends Twitch and Esports channels.
