iiTzTimmy has been streaming seriously since August 2019 and soon made a name for himself as a high-level Apex Legends player. So much so, that he was even soon streaming with the likes of Aceu and Dieagosaurs among others. His success earned him a year-long position on the Golden Guardians starting in December 2019, firstly as part of their pro-Apex team and then as part of their stream team.
Although much of iiTzTimmy’s gaming setup was sponsored by Logitech, it is still worth noting what he uses, as it is crucial for him as a high-level fps streamer to ensure that he only uses products that allow him to utilize his skills to the fullest. We have therefore provided a list of his equipment below, for those of you who would like to know more about what he uses:
WHAT MONITOR DOES IITZTIMMY USE?
iiTzTimmy uses a BenQ ZOWIE XL2740 27-inch monitor. This is a 27” monitor that provides a refresh rate of 240Hz with a 1ms (GTG) response time. Its brightness is at 320 cd/m2 and it has a pixel pitch of 0.311mm. As it was designed for esports players and therefore offers a variety of advance features, such as its Black eQualizer that can brighten darker scenes during games to help with visibility, as well as its Color Vibrance to enhance the overall imagery. It is also FreeSync and G-Sync compatible.
Its stand has a hole for cable management, and it offers tilting options of -5°~20°, pivoting of 90°, swiveling of -45°~45° and height adjustment options. Th monitor can also be removed from its stand for VESA 100 x 100mm mounting. There are no in-built speakers.
WHAT MOUSE DOES IITZTIMMY USE?
iiTzTimmy uses a Logitech G Pro wireless (Shroud) mouse. iiTzTimmy’s gaming setup includes the Shroud edition of highly popular Logitech G Pro wireless mouse. The regular version is also part of the setups of UnknownxArmy and LVNDMARK. Its has an ergonomic design that is truly ambidextrous in that it includes four extra side buttons that can be added as two on both or either side of the mouse. Its maximum acceleration id 40G at a polling rate of up to 1000Hz at a report rate of 1ms.
It is set with a 25K hero sensor that offers a range of 100 – 25,600 dpi. The dpi can be set in increments of 50 through the Logitech G Pro software, with the option to then store up to 6 dpi profiles directly on the mouse. These can then be toggle between with the dpi button that is located below the clickable scroll wheel.
This mouse is available in a variety of other colors as well. It weighs just 79g (2.7oz) and has dimensions of 3.82 x 62.15 x 11.66cm (1.57 x 2.5 x 4.92”). It is compatible with Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.11 or later, or Chrome OS.
WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES IITZTIMMY USE?
iiTzTimmy uses a Logitech G G840 XL (Shroud) mousepad. This is a limited-edition version of the G840 mousepad that is designed to allow for optimal sensor imagery. Its rubberized base serves a dual purpose of keeping the cloth surface from bunching while also preventing it from slipping during use. It has a surface area of 42 x 7.5 x 7.5cm (16.54 x 2.95 x 2.95”).
WHAT KEYBOARD DOES IITZTIMMY USE?
iiTzTimmy uses a Logitech G Pro X (Shroud) keyboard. The Logitech G Pro X is an updated version of the original G Pro keyboard and iiTzTimmy’s gaming setup includes the Shroud edition of the keyboard. It comes with Linear GX Red switches that have an actuation point of 50G with an actuation point of 1.9mm and a total travel distance of 4mm. Both the keycaps and switches are hot-swappable, although the bottom rows keycaps have a non-standard design. This means that you may not be able to find key caps to swap them out with.
This keyboard has a tenkeyless design with an extra gaming lock-key button and brightness button in the top right corner. The keys affected by the lock key, as well as the LIGHTSYNC RGB backlighting and F-key macro buttons can all be set through the Logitech G Hub software.
Its dimensions are 2.4 36.1 x 15.3cm (1.3 x 14.2 x 6.02″) and its software is compatible with either Windows 7 or later or macOS 10.11 or later.
Otherwise, it can also be used with an Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo switch.
WHAT HEADSET DOES IITZTIMMY USE?
iiTzTimmy uses a Logitech G Pro Gaming headset. iiTzTimmy’s gaming setup features the Logitech G Pro headset. It is a wired gaming headset that is constructed from a flexible, adjustable steel headband set with durable aluminum forks to connect the headband with the earcups. The earcups are cushioned with soft, leatherette-covered earpads and contain 50mm Hybrid mesh PRO-G Neodymium drivers.
The drivers provide a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz that operate at a nominal impedance of 35Ω.
The headset comes with an electret microphone that has a unidirectional polar pattern. Its capsule is 6mm long and comes with a pop-filter. It provides a frequency response range of 100 – 10,000Hz. It can be muted with the inline controls, or by being detached from the headset all together. It weighs 320g (11.28oz.) It comes with a DAV that can be programmed with up to 5 EQ profiles through the Logitech G HUB software. This makes it compatible with a variety of gaming consoles in addition to PCs and Macs.
WHAT MICROPHONE DOES IITZTIMMY USE?
iiTzTimmy uses a Shure SM7B microphone. The Shure SM7B is a dynamic microphone with a front-address. It provides a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 150Ω and a sensitivity of -59 dBV/Pa. Its unidirectional polar pattern helps to filter out unwanted background noises, while its internal pop-filter prevents vocal plosive sounds from disturbing the audio quality. Additionally, it comes with an external windscreen that helps to block interference from electrical devices.
There is a presence boost button and high-pass filter switch located on its base to boost mid-range frequencies and to suppress unwanted low frequencies. This microphone is not powered by phantom power, but it will nonetheless require an audio-interface with phantom power capabilities as it utilizes an XLR cable.
