HasanAbi Shares Thoughts About MrBeast

The new MrBeast video about giving 1,000 blind people their sight back may be becoming viral online, but Twitch streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” felt differently after seeing it while live-streaming with Valkyrae.

HasanAbi said on how angry he felt while seeing MrBeast’s fellow streamer praise him for helping blind people receive eye surgery but ignoring the hardship of American folks who cannot afford such procedures. After a particularly heartbreaking incident that caused Valkyrae to swoon, Hasan clarified: “You watch this video, you go, ‘Aw, how cute and how nice.’ I watch this video and I am filled with rage.”

One of the most well-liked sociopolitical pundits on Twitch is the Turkish-American streamer. As a self-described socialist, HasanAbi is well recognized for his liberal viewpoints on current events. He primarily covers news and other important subjects on his stream. At this year’s YouTube Shortys, he received the top creator for News content award. With his viral films, MrBeast has become a cultural phenomenon. His most recent one was about paying for 1,000 people’s procedures in order to cure them of blindness. Although the YouTuber’s followers have welcomed the video, HasanAbi used it as a chance to criticize the US healthcare system.

The streamer, who supports progressive ideals like as Medicare for All, explained why the video made him angry after Valkyrae, who was with him at the time, said: “What is wrong with you?”

The YouTube queen appears to have assumed that HasanAbi’s remarks were directed at MrBeast’s efforts to assist the blind. But once he clarified his position and delivered a damning critique of the American healthcare system, where he noted that many people forgo life-changing operations owing to prohibitive expenses, she was able to see his justification. “That we shut off access to a 10-minute procedure because we paywalled it and decided that some people just simply can’t get it.”

He expressed regret that 1,000 people had to rely on Mr. Beast’s kindness and generosity in order to receive procedures that could have restored their vision, saying: “It is so insanely frustrating, that it is like, it’s up to one YouTube guy who decided to make content out of like, people who are too poor can’t just f**king see. That’s insane, anyway sorry. That’s just a deeply, deeply frustrating concept.”
