HasanAbi Is Banned From Twitch

Hasan has announced that he will be streaming on YouTube during his Twitch ban.

On Monday, Hasan “Hasanabi” Piker was kicked off Twitch in front of 40,000 viewers. The ban is most likely related to his use of the word “cracker” on stream, according to the streamer.

On Monday, Hasan responded almost immediately to his ban, claiming that it is for exactly what people believe it is for using the term “cracker,” which is anti-white racism.

The new ban comes after some of his mods were banned for using the term “cracker,” which refers to a time in America when white people owned black people as slaves and referred to white people as slave masters who “crack” a whip. Some in Hasan’s stream claimed that this was a slur that violated Twitch’s hateful conduct rules.

Hasan came under fire for the first time on Sunday, when he defended the term on a live stream. The streamer went on a long monologue about the term, claiming that it is not a slur because those who use it have been historically oppressed.

Under their harassment rules in the community guidelines, Twitch prohibits hateful behavior. Content that is prohibited under Twitch’s Hateful Conduct policy, according to Twitch.

Hasan’s ban is not linked to his use of the word “cracker,” according to Twitch. If that’s the case, all streamers should be aware that Twitch considers the term a slur, despite the fact that, as Hasan pointed out, there’s a lot of debate about what constitutes a “hateful slur.” We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
