Gosu’s Gaming Setup: An In-Depth Look

gosu setup for gaming and streaming

Gosu is a rather enigmatic League of Legends Twitch star from South Korea who has revealed very little about himself, despite having been considered a staple of the LoL community ever since joining Team SoloMid’s roster as a sub in 2016. His skill has managed to keep him as one of the top followed and viewed LoL streamers despite his inconsistent schedule and webcam-less streams. Below, we have provided a list of the equipment that makes up Gosu’s gaming setup.

Gosu uses an ASUS ROG SWIFT PG248Q monitor. The ASUS ROG SWIFT PG248Q is a 24-inch gaming monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms (Gray to Gray) response time for a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p at a 16:9 raspect ratio. It has integrated ASUS Eye Care technology to provide blue light filter and slicker-free backlighting to reduce eye strain during long gaming sessions. It also incorporates NVIDIA G-Sync display technology that is designed to synchronize the monitors refresh rate with the PC’s GPU in order to eliminate screen tearing and decrease instances of display stuttering.

The adjustment options included pivoting at 90° clockwise, swiveled between +60° and ~-60° ad tilted between +20° and ~-5°. Its dimensions are 56.34 x 7.11 x 33.02cm (22.20 x 2.80 x 13.00”) and weighs ~6.62kg (14.6lbs). It has VESA 100mm x 100 mm wall mount capabilities. Gosu uses a Logitech G Pro wired gaming mouse. Gosu uses the wired version of the Logitech G Pro mouse. However, there are a number of other differences as well, such as their basic shape. Although both are ambidextrous, the wireless version is more streamlined, while the wired version is rounded. Its 336 optical sensor offers a dpi range of 200 – 12,000 dpi, rather than the 100 – 16,000p range offered by the wireless version. However, there is an updated Hero 16K wired version that balances this out.

All of this explains the $50 USD difference in price. Otherwise, it has slightly smaller dimensions of (1.50 x 7.56 x 4.59 inches”) in contrast to the wireless’s at 3.82 x 62.15 x 11.66cm (1.57 x 2.5 x 4.92 inches) with as weight of 85g (~3oz) without the cable, making it slightly heavier than the wireless version.

The Logitech G Pro wired mouse has 6 programable buttons with Omron switches. These include the right and left clickers, serrated scroll wheel, dpi button and two buttons above the right thumb-side.

Gosu uses an AT2020 XLR microphone. Gosu’s gaming setup includes the XLR version of the Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone. This version requires +48V phantom power at 2mA, meaning that it will require the additional investment of a pre-amp or other audio-interface in order to operate properly, as well as an XLR cable and stand. It does however, come with a pivoting stand mount for 5/8″-27 threaded stands, a 5/8″-27 to 3/8″-16 threaded adapter and a soft protective pouch.

The AT2020 XLR has a frequency response rate of 40 – 20,000Hz, an 100Ohm impedance, a signal-to-noise ratio of 74dB/1kHz @ 1Pa and a maximum SPL level of 136dB. It has a cardioid polar pattern to help pick up sound mainly from the direction that it is facing.
