Teamfight Tactics (TfT) is an f2p auto-battler game that was released on June 18, 2019 by Riot Games as a response to the then top-performing Dota 2 mod, ‘Dota 2: Auto Chess.’ After competing for a week or two with Valve’s Dota Underlords that was released a couple of days after TfT, TfT soon outpaced both titles and has since generally maintained a spot within the top ten most popular gaming categories on Twitch.
