Forsen Talks About Recent Ban

Forsen, a well-known Twitch streamer, recently tweeted the reason he was banned from site.

The Swedish Twitch streamer said that his temporary ban from the streaming service was caused by a “dubious” YouTube video he recently watched while livestreaming. With well over a million followers, Forsen, real name Sebastian Fors, is one of Twitch’s most well-liked streamers in recent years. The streamer got his start by taking part in Starcraft 2 and Hearthstone tournaments, but he has since shifted his focus to streaming other games and entertainment.

His most recent publicized endeavor has been speedrunning Minecraft, with Forsen recently breaking xQc’s record in an ongoing back-and-forth between the two streams. On April 20, many fans were shocked to go on and find that Forsen had been abruptly suspended from Twitch. Given the streamer’s troubled history with following Twitch’s rules, many of Forsen’s fans conjectured as to the cause of the ban, but no official explanation was provided until Forsen himself tweeted on April 24 that an explicit ASMR YouTube video that was watched on his last stream was to blame.

The streamer can start streaming again as early as April 27 because the suspension only lasts one week. Although the exact video that got it banned wasn’t disclosed, many fans think it was an AI-generated ASMR video from a well-known VTuber. Forsen has previously experienced a Twitch suspension; in fact, the streamer was subject to an indefinite ban following an incident in late 2020. Forsen was actually banned from Twitch as a result of sharing an obscene GIF of a horse, despite what was initially assumed to be one of the frequent DMCA takedowns at the time. The indefinite ban ended up lasting a full month, thus the most recent ban was significantly less severe.

Forsen has now been banned multiple times due to the stuff he chooses to stream, but he has also been prohibited due to his fans. Due to his fandom, Forsen managed to get banned from PUBG twice in a week last year. The widespread assumption is that either his or a rival’s community complained him to PUBG enough for PUBG to instantly ban his profile without an initial review procedure, however this has never been officially proven.

Although Forsen has a history of streaming dubious content on Twitch, this most recent suspension might prompt him to change his ways.
